Dear Beloved Member,
Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ. I pray that all is well with you and your family. As you are aware, we are in the midst of a Coronavirus Pandemic. Due to this, we have suspended all gatherings including Prayer/Bible Study and Worship. I am pleased that I was able to speak with many of you twice by teleconference last week. I do thank you for calling in to the conference. Also, on Sunday, March 22nd, the Lord permitted us to worship and share the Gospel Message of Jesus Christ via Live Streaming on Facebook and YouTube. In spite our efforts, I know there are some members who did not get the information as to what was taking place regarding your church as some do not have email. Thus, I am requesting that you do the following:
1. If you have not been receiving emails from the church, but you have an email address, call the church at 504-341-4858 and leave a message for me on extension #1. Please leave your name, address, telephone number and email address. You will be added to the church’s email contacts. If you do not have email, we will make our best effort to call or text you whenever anything is taking place regarding your church. In case of an emergency or you have a need, please call right away. If you have a cell phone, you can obtain information about the church by using Facebook @SJMBC1 and/or through the church’s email and website which are given above;
2. Until further notice, Prayer/Bible Study and Worship will be Streamed Live each Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. and on each Sunday at 11:00 a.m., respectively, on Facebook and YouTube, effective immediately. So I look forward to sharing with you again on this coming Sunday;
3. Our church has made arrangements for us to “Worship God in Giving” on-line (internet) through a program called “Givelify.” Please call and we will provide all the information you need as to how to give through this program. Also, we have Deacons on duty at St. Joseph on each Sunday from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. to receive your gifts. Just drive to rear near the offices and a Deacon will come to your car;
4. If you know someone who did not receive this letter, please share this with them. We have many letters which are returned during mail outs due to bad addresses and I truly want to reach each member.
Finally, please take this virus seriously. Practice social distancing and stay at home unless it is absolutely necessary to go out. We have two members who have contracted the virus, Sisters Kenosha Perry and Brechelle Reed. Brechelle has recovered but is still in quarantine. Kenosha is likewise resting at home. Both of them have allowed me to share this information with you. Please pray for them as God continues to work in their lives. If you are not a member of St. Joseph and received this letter in error, please pardon our mistake as we seek to be a blessing to God’s people. Much love to you all and prayers for your protection and healing. Be blessed!
Yours in Christ Jesus,
Dr. M. C. Zeno, Pastor
